She’s assistant professor (permanent status) at the DISFOR (Sciences of Education Department) of the University of Genoa (Italy) and Professor on Sociology of Education and Sociology of Family at Sciences of Education Faculty, University of Genoa. Her fields of interest and research are focused on international migration process, in particular: second generation and inequalities; gender and migration; families and youth in migration process.

She is the director of the advanced course “Urban fragility management. The role of the social worker in the quality of life” January 2020, and she’s the director of the Master “The managers of responsible centers for the refugees, asylum seekers and beneficiaries of international protection” University of Genoa, February 2018.

She is a member of the editorial staff and referee for the Mondi Migranti Review, Franco Angeli.

She had a visiting Research Scholar at Department of Sociology and Antropology, Fordham University, New York, on September 2011; at the CESPLA (Centro de Estudios sociales y politicos latinoamericanos) Universidad de Cuenca (Ecuador) and FLACSO (Facultad Latinoamericana de Ciencias Sociales) Quito (Ecuador), January-April 2005; at Gino Germani Institute- UBA, Buenos Aires, July- September 2005 and June 2018.
